July 2004
MEETING
WHEN:
FRIDAY the 9th
6 PM
WHERE:
Paul Adams Hangar
M'town Airport

PROGRAM:
Touring Hangars
with eats

WHAT'S FLYIN' THIS WAY !!!
Everyone come out to Paul Adams hangar on Friday for a variety of fun stuff to do! First, come early with a potluck dish and your choice of meat to grill. After we are done stuffin' our faces, Paul will show us how his projects are coming. Then, we will swarm other members hangars and see what they have to show us. Who's, you ask? Whoever is willing! So be aware all you who have a plane(s) at the Marshalltown airport. (Really, we're hoping everyone available will have their hangar open for viewing ;^)
And don't forget to invite a guest or two!!

WHAT FLEW BY LAST MONTH !!!
Our 2nd open house was another great success!! LOT'S of members brought out their airplanes for the public to view. Twelve different planes representing a good cross section of experimental, ultralight and factory certified. We lined them up along the tarmac in front of Dale Benskin's open hangar where his Meyers was displayed.
Garry Brandenburg had the opportunity to fly a couple of Young Eagle flights. We had visitors who had guests from Norway with children. They were thrilled to have the chance to get their first airplane ride with Garry.
Check out the pictures on page three, and many more pictures on the web.
A big THANK YOU to ALL who participated!

Doug Boyd's Father Passes
EAA Chapter 675 extends our sympathies to Doug and his family for their loss of Doug's father, James. He passed away the week following our open house and the funeral was on the 21st of June. I know he was very influential impacting Doug's interest in aviation.
CHAPTER WEBSITE
There will be a major change in the Chapter 675 website in the next two or three months. I have gained access to an almost unlimited amount of space for creating and storing our chapter pictures, projects and whatever. The address will change as well. For now click here. http://www.marshallnet.com/~cdgarden/eaa675/
