2004 Ice Cream Social Fly-in

EAA Chapter 675 had another GREAT Ice Cream Social Fly-in! Ray and Sandy Robinson were hosts to another highly successful Ice Cream Social Fly-in. Approximately seventy people were served all the ice cream and fixins they desired. Twenty airplanes came and went even with gusty conditions. Fortunately the wind was pretty much from the south. Many Piper tail draggers ( and a Colt), a Navion military trainer, a few homebuilts, couple of Aeroncas, even a T-Bird ultralight giving rides, were all seen, among others, along the east/west parking area. Most stuck their tails in the corn stalks for shelter from the southerly wind. A fly-in next year is still being contemplated, but by the success of the past couple of years, this has the potential to becoming a premier Iowa fly-in!
